Swinley Forest
Swinley Forest has 24km of purpose built, all weather way-marked mountain bike trails that nestle and follow the forest's natural ebb and flow. The trails are suitable for riders of all levels, from beginners to advanced, and for all sorts of bikes.
The trails are built from quarried material onsite that allow the trails to run brilliantly in all weathers making them the perfect for a rainy day activity with the kids or a blast in the sunshine with your mates.
The sumptuous singletrack follows the contour of the forest and has 3 main routes on offer, they are the Green, Blue & Red routes.
Cotswolds
Day 1. We will start in the picturesque town of Bourton-on-the-Water and take in the pretty villages of Lower Slaughter and Upper Slaughter, before heading north to Broadway Tower where we can enjoy a video/audio tour of the Tower and it’s history, including the fabulous panoramic views from the roof, before lunch in Snowshill where I have reserved a table. Then through Bourton Downs and the villages of Upper and Lower Swell before returning for a possible cream tea at Bourton. About 51km.
Day 2. Setting off from our hotel in Little Witcombe we will ride loops of Crickley Hill and Leckhampton Hill taking in the views over Brockworth and Cheltenham respectively before enjoying some sweeping fun tracks to our lunch venue in Colesbourne. The return to the hotel is across Elkstone and Brimpsfield Downs before a great drop down to the cars for the drive home. About 42km.
It’s going to be a fantastic and varied weekend. There are still some spaces so book your place soon and/or contact Steve.
